TAL-Sampler is not just a sample player. It’s a full featured analog modeled synthesizer with a sampler engine as sound source, including a powerful modulation matrix and a high quality self-oscillating 24/12/6 dB low pass filter. Don’t expect a 40GB piano sample library with samples for every velocity or something similar. The idea is to bring back the fun sampling was in the good old times with small samples, fast loading times and an intuitive work-flow to create your own sample presets without getting lost in the settings.

It’s possible to choose between different digital analog converters (DAC’s) to get the vintage sound of different hardware samplers inside your DAW. We don’t make cheap bit crushing or decimation on the output signal. We really down-sample the sample to the desired sampling frequency, then process the data depending on the chosen DAC and up-sample it to the desired pitch. Most DAC modes offer a LEVEL slider. This feature allows the user to reduce the volume of the recorded sample and decreases the sample quality. Load your favorite high quality sample and make it sound vintage and noisy. The 24dB low pass filter will like it!

The plug-in has four layers an can play four samples simultaneous. There is also a simple SFZ import for samples that imports the mapping and sample paths, but the plug-in also contains an easy to use mapping editor.

TAL-Sampler is available in the VST, Audio Unit and AAX plug-in format. You can load and play your own samples in every common sample format (*.wav, *.aiff, *.aif, *.mp3, *.ogg, *.flac). Import samples with drag & drop from finder or explorer. There is also an intuitive sample browser that helps to find samples fast.

Some nice additions like a vintage real-time time stretcher and the possibility to modulate or automate the sample loop positions.

Rotary Organ was sampled from a Hammond M3 tonewheel Organ. The end goal was to simulate the sound of a Hammondnd B3 organ with rotating Leslie Speaker inside of a VSTi/AU/AAX plugin. Every drawbar on every note was sampled individually via the organ’s built-in speaker through a Neumann TLM 102 microphone. The signal was re-amped though a Fender Deluxe Reverb and recorded via a Sennheiser e906. Both signals were run through Grace M101 preamps. A Hammond M3 Organ combines the last two harmonics into a single drawbar, this note was omitted. Instead, a “digital foldback” teqchnique was used to extend the harmonics of the Hammond M3 to be similar to that of a Hammond B3.

Wurlitzer virtual instrument plugin was sampled from an “early model” 1970’s Wurlitzer 200A electronic piano. The process began by close-miking the piano with Beyerdynamic MC930 condenser microphones on the Wurlitzer’s built-in speakers, and an AEA R84 Ribbon Mic on the line-out signal through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp. These signals were fed into Grace M101 and AEA TRP Preamps respectively. The wurlitzer’s amplifier and preamp were re-capped in an attempt to save the amplifier, but about half way through the sampling process the amplifier died, which eventually killed the power transformer. The preamp, amp, and power transformer were all replaced and sampling continued. Well sampling the bass notes, it became apparent that the Wurlitzer’s built in speakers also needed to be replaced.

DRC is a powerful synthesizer for Desktop and Mobile With a clean, minimal design focused on accessibility, the intuitive interface allows you to concentrate on creativity and control of your sound, free from visual distractions. “DRC Synth” features a modern looking, minimalistic interface with several different colour variations to choose from and has been designed to be as accessible and uncluttered as possible… it is very easy to use. It also features a cloud-based preset management system, which means that sounds to be shared across all available platforms. DRC Synth works equally well for everything from analog-style pads and lush textures to crazy sound effects and stonking basses. With up to eight voices, each with two oscillators, a ring modulator, sub oscillator and noise, DRC is a beefy and versatile subtractive synth (more on these shortly). The integrated and intuitive chorder makes it easy to instantly get the most out of your polyphonic synthesizer, by experimenting with powerful chords.

In normal use you’re given a choice of either a regular keyboard (complete with over 20 scales, including a user scale) or a set of chord buttons. The chord buttons are broken up into major, minor and seventh chords with the strum pads at either side.

LP10 is your weapon of choice when you don’t want to make any compromise in sound quality. Its FFT algorithm with a frequency resolution of 2.7 Hz at 44.1 kHz sampling frequency guarantees a smooth frequency response from the deepest bass all the way to top end. The proprietary flexible phase approach gives you full control over the phase reponse of each of the 10 bands (from minimum over linear to inverse minimum phase, the only EQ who can do that! Seriously!). Furthermore, the built-in flex filters allow you to continuously vary their slope from 6 dB/Oct to 60 dB/Oct. More control simply isn’t possible. The built in spectrum analyzer helps to guide your ears in the right direction. LP10 defines the maximum you can do in terms of shaping the spectrum of your audio material, while still sounding absolutely marvelous! Available in VST, AU (32/64 bit), RTAS and AAX format. We wanted to pay homage to the sounds of the great soundtracks from the 80s from composers and tv series /movies such as John Carpenter, Harold Faltermeyer, Jan Hammer, Michael Jackson, Prince, Night Rider, The Terminator, Commando etc..

Certain iconic sounds showed up in many such projects, and we decided to embark on a journey of bringing you the very sounds you know, sounds you can identify immediately as soon as you hear them! We sampled and tweaked these patched from original synths such as Fairlight, Synclavier, Yamaha DX7, Roland D-50, EMULATOR II, KORG M1, OBERHEIM OBX, PROPHET 5, SYNTHEX and many more… These sounds were recorded using analog outboard gear such as NEVE 1073, Thermionic Culture Rooster, and Electrodyne pres, Distressor, API 2500 and Drawmer 1978. Also, External effects were used from Eventide, Lexicon.
